About Me
I grew up in South Africa and the UK.
I am one of five children and my mother is an English tutor, too. From a young age she encouraged us to read all sorts of books and then ask questions and share our ideas about them round the dinner table. These are valuable skills we have all carried into our adult lives.
I became a tutor because I wanted to share my passion for English language and literature with others all over the world (I offer sessions virtually as well as face-to-face).
Since I began my tutoring journey in 2013, I have worked with hundreds of clients of all ages. I now have over 8,000 hours of teaching experience.
From school assignments and exams to college entrance tests, essays and work-place role plays, I can help.
My Approach
With a Master's in Text and Performance from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), I blend reading and writing expertise with public speaking support.
Increasingly, it is useful for children to learn verbal communication skills at a young age through presentations, speeches and debate. Later on, these skills are highly sought-after in the workplace too.
Indeed, expressing oneself confidently - both in the classroom and out - is guaranteed to open doors in the future! In our sessions, there is the option to hone aspects such as posture, volume and vocal tone alongside written work.
